Let us introduce you to Aker Tech House

Built by the leading Norwegian real estate firm Aker Property Group, it is a seven-storey multi-tenant office building located in Fornebu, a business district near Oslo.
While it is designed by Swedish Wingårdhs Arkitekter, IARK has designed the common areas of the building with everything the heart desires such as bakery, patisserie, café, food court with four restaurant concepts, and lobby with event bar.

When choosing the furniture for the spaces, Iark decided that they had to follow the building’s tight lines and be in the same design language to underpin and reinforce the architecture. The perfect fit for our Font collection.

The design of the collection is evolved from the geometry of the circle. A classic yet neutral design, that allows it to be placed into various environments and contexts, without taking all the attention, unless desired. The upholstery, frame and piping can be customized and determine the look of the collection and meet interior ambiences, which the combination chosen for Aker Tech House is the perfect example of.

For Aker Tech House’s common space, the color palette and the materials are a combination of neutral and warm grey tones in order to complement the architecture. However a few clean, clear colors highlight the furniture in the room and invite use, as seen for the Font collection. The Font bar sofa is in bright leather upholstery, the Font dining chairs are in cognac upholstery, the bar stools in completely black upholstery and frame – all surrounded by settings with pale colors, giving them the inviting look IARK was striving for.
